1. What is a PC Attach Autoloader?
Autoloaders use an automated system for moving CD or DVD recordable media
between devices for unattended duplication. PC Attach Autoloaders are CD
or DVD Duplicators that can have, or require, a PC connection for
operation. This connection is usually made via a Firewire adapter or SCSI
adapter on a host PC running a Microsoft operating system. Autoloading
Disc Printers, letting you print on CD or DVDs, are often available as
options for PC Attach autoloaders. Check the products specifications to be
sure which connection type and operating system is required.
2. What is a PC Attach
Autoloader used for?
Low volume to Mid volume CD/DVD duplication, with unattended operation
(50-500 CDs per day). Having an autoloading CD or DVD duplicator connected
to a host PC provides more control over the duplication process by
utilizing the capabilities of the host and it's operating system.
Connection to a PC also allows for the addition of an Autoloading CD/DVD
Printer to be added to many duplication systems. Example 1: A user may
wish to duplicate a CD or DVD from data that resides on the host PC. By
using a PC Connect Autoloader the user can simply start the duplication
job from the host PC without having to burn a "master" CD first. Example
2: A user on the same network as the host PC can simply transfer their
data files to the host PC through the network and then use the host PC to
start their duplication job. This eliminates the need for each user on the
network to have their own CD-R or DVD-R drives.
3. What is a Standalone
Autoloader?
Autoloaders use an automated system for moving CD or DVD recordable media
between devices for unattended duplication. Standalone Autoloaders are CD
or DVD duplicators that can operate independent of a host PC. Some
advantages would included portability, ease of use and unattended
operation.
4. What is a Standalone
Autoloader used for? Low
to High volume CD/DVD duplication (50-2500+ CDs per day). Standalone CD/DVD
Autoloaders come in a variety of configurations and provide the user with
simple operation. Some smaller standalone autoloaders like the Bravo II
are designed to be portable. Other larger, higher output CD/DVD standalone
autoloaders like the DVDA9480-1000 are designed for 24-hour 7-day a week
operation for high volume CD/DVD production. Some models can include a
disc printer as well.
5. What is a Network Publishing
System?
A PC attached, networked autoloading CD or DVD publishing system with
powerful software to provide network wide access to CD/DVD recording and
allow for customization of data and/or the discs label. Many of our
Network Autoloaders features can be integrated in to a companies existing
applications using an intuitive Programmers Toolkit.
